Plant Manager (Tile Manufacturing)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Manager to lead operations at our state-of-the-art tile manufacturing facility. This is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, quality control, safety, and team performance. You will drive operational excellence, maximize efficiency, and ensure our facility meets the highest standards of ceramic tile production.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations across all production lines and departments
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality
- Manage plant-wide budgets, capital expenditure, and resource allocation
- Ensure strict compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors, technicians, and support staff
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
- Collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to meet customer demands and delivery schedules
- Track KPIs including production output, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and on-time delivery
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field
- Minimum 8–10 years of manufacturing management experience, preferably in ceramics or tile production
- Proven track record of leading large teams and managing complex operations
- Strong knowledge of ceramic tile manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality standards
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities
- Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing software
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, and environmental compliance standards
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing technologies
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Background in ceramic tile quality testing and product development
- Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
