Fired Glaze Color in Ceramics: Testing & Analysis
To test the colour of the glaze, a square-shaped dried clay piece is glazed using either the spraying or dipping method and then fired. A spectrophotometer is used to check the LAB value, and the delta E value is calculated to understand the colour difference between batches. This process helps ensure colour consistency.
