Air Leakage Test for Sanitaryware Products
Know how the sanitaryware products like toilets and washbasins are tested for air leakage. Procedure by which pressure is used to check the integrity of the product, which helps to avoid foul odor from the sanitarwyare products.

Air Leakage Test
This test is done to check that the toilet or basin bowl is fully airtight. We do this to make sure the product is properly sealed so that no air or bad smell can come out from anywhere.
How to Do the Test
First, close both the inlet hole and the drain hole tightly so that no air can go in or come out. Then apply vacuum inside the toilet or basin bowl. After that, keep watching the pressure graph on the screen. The graph should stay still — it should not go down from the level of the vacuum given.
How Long and What to Check
The vacuum should hold steady for 60 seconds without any change. If the pressure is stable for the full 60 seconds, it means the product has no air leakage and it is good quality. If the pressure drops or fluctuates, then there is some problem with the sealing, and the product has to be checked again.
